Bala Datta

Bala Datta is a dynamic, spiritually enriching program for children aged 4 and above—right from Pre-kinder through to High School. Established under the divine vision of His Holiness Dr. Sri Swamiji, Bala Datta fosters the development of inner strength, cultural pride, leadership, and spiritual awareness in our young generation.

Children learn chanting, bhajans (devotional singing), moral stories from the Sanatana culture and scriptures such as Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Bhagavatam etc. They understand the spiritual science and significance of Hindu festivals, rituals and culture. Classes are structured innovatively to combine tradition, creativity, and individual attention in a joyful and supportive environment.

Classes are designed to instill values of compassion, devotion, service, honesty, and self-discipline through engaging content and caring mentorship.

Learning Curriculum:

Sessions on Religion & Culture 
Children are grouped based on age and maturity and theme-based lessons are taught:

  • Pre-Kinder/Kinder– Prayers, simple Sanskrit verses, Fun  games to learn values, Moral stories through Music & Art
  • Age 6 – 9 years: Hindu scriptures in a story form Ramayana, Bala Bhagavatam, Mahabharata –interactive sessions using digital technology to engage children, Kids yoga, Singing & dance.
  • 10 – 12 years:  Deeper mythology and values with group discussion based on Dashavatar, Hanuman Charitra, Devi Bhagavatham 
  • Learning about the life and teachings of HH Sri Swamiji & various Spiritual Masters 
  • Leadership & Public Speaking – Children aged 10+ are trained in communication and presentation skills

Language Classes

We offer structured language classes for children to learn their mother tongue which helps to connect to their cultural heritage. Class curriculum as per Community Language Victoria (CLV) and are taught by experienced  volunteer teachers.

Languages offered include:
Sanskrit – Focus on Devanagari, vocabulary, Basic Grammar, reading & chanting.  
Hindi, Telugu, Kannada


All language classes aim to build proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and cultural fluency.

Bala Datta is run by a team of dedicated and trained volunteer teachers who bring passion, knowledge, and commitment to every session. Our small class sizes ensure that every child receives the attention and guidance they need to thrive spiritually and academically.
